Cole Cutsss Barbershop is now open at 111 N Bridge St in Dimondale — the longtime home of Rick’s Family Barber Shop. We opened the doors on July 23, 2026, and the chair is back in business. Book online or stop by.

The same chair, a new chapter

For 35 years, 111 N Bridge St was Rick’s Family Barber Shop, where Richard “Rick” Hicks cut hair for generations of Dimondale families. Rick opened the shop in 1990 and retired in 2026 as one of the village’s most recognizable faces — the kind of small-town barber a whole community grows up with.

When Rick decided to retire, Cole Davis bought the shop with one goal: keep it a barbershop. Same corner, same chair, carrying on what Rick built — now with the cuts, fades, and beard work Cole Cutsss has become known for at our Potterville location. We’re honored to take over a place that meant so much to Dimondale, and grateful to Rick for trusting the next chapter to us.

What we offer

The Dimondale shop offers the full Cole Cutsss menu — haircuts, bald fades, haircut + beard, beard trims, and kids and senior cuts — booked online or as walk-ins, the same way we run Potterville.

Dimondale sits on the south edge of Lansing, so this location is the closer option for clients in south Lansing, Holt, and the surrounding area who have been driving out to Potterville.

Finding us in downtown Dimondale

The shop is right on N Bridge Street in the heart of downtown Dimondale, a short walk from the Grand River that runs through the village. If you knew the old Rick’s Family Barber Shop, it’s the same building on the same corner — look for the Cole Cutsss sign and the barber pole out front.

  • From Lansing and south Lansing: about 10–15 minutes southwest — an easy run for anyone near Holt, Delta Township, or the south side who had been driving out to Potterville.
  • From Holt: roughly 12 minutes west, just across the river.
  • From Grand Ledge: about 12–15 minutes south.
  • From Eaton Rapids or Charlotte: a straight shot north toward the river.

Dimondale is the closer chair for the whole south-Lansing side of our client base, so if the Potterville drive was a stretch, this is your spot. Same cuts, same craftsmanship — a lot fewer miles.
